Something that I appreciate in a slot is its ability to teach me something new or introduce me to a new concept. I like all things lore, from Greek all the way to Norse lore and I especially have an interest in Native American lore which developers IGT really brought to the center of attraction in Wolf Run. Looking at the main protagonist in this slot, played by the wolves, at first gave me the eerily impression of a skin-walker watching me. Pushing aside my overactive imagination, my focus moved to the features which includes 5 reels and 40 paylines. Wolf Run has some great visuals, but to be honest they aren’t the best I have seen from IGT.
How Popular is Wolf Run Slot in South Africa?
I think the fact that this is an IGT slot really boosts Wolf Run’s popularity among SA players. It’s a moderately popular slot in that it isn’t as well known as other IGT slots, but it does have its own audience who remains loyal players and maintain advocacy for it.
My Experience with Wolf Run Slot
I was pleasantly surprised when I started playing Wolf Run. It looks like a simplistic slot, and this is an opinion I formed at first glance. I am player who first gets attracted to the visuals and graphics of a slot before I turn my attention to features, functions and payouts. Yes, I judge a book by its cover, quite shallow, but I always like it when the contents of the slot surprise me and that’s what Wolf Run did. The 1,000 coins jackpot and 255 free spins that are up for grabs in the slot were both qualities that made this slot worthwhile for me. I also like the fact that I could play this game on my mobile phone on the go.
Bonuses, Gameplay, Variance
When it comes to its playing symbols, Wolf Run follows the default protocol of card symbols starting from 9 all the way to A that pay average coin payouts as it is to be expected. The symbols that really come out to play are the white wolf and the black wolf, of course both drawing inspiration from Native American Lore.
A feature that stood out for me was the wild symbol which is played by the howling wolf, it helped me not only to form some notable winning combinations, but it also acted as stacked wilds on the reels to truly ignite the game. The scatter symbol was played by the dream catcher and appears on reels two, three and four and triggers access to some free games in this low to medium variance slot.
I’ll admit that Wolf Run wasn’t initially my cup of tea, (as I have already mentioned I am a little shallow) but it actually started to grow on me. I realised that the visuals and colours aren’t as bad as I thought. They just look a little faded for my viewing pleasure, however all things considered, both content and character, this a solid game with plenty to offer players in terms of gameplay, entertainment and winnings.
